My name is Maggie Alexis Connell and I am 13 years old. I love going to HorsePower where I feel accepted, loved and challenged as I learn new riding skills and coordination. I have AuDHD, anxiety and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. While everyday life can be challenging, at HorsePower I am always accepted for who I am and feel the love and patience of leaders, walkers and of course my horse Ruby. Ruby is spunky and sassy just like me. Whenever I am riding Ruby, all of my everyday worries and physical challenges just seem to melt away. I also enjoy her snuggles at the beginning and end of sessions. Since starting HorsePower I have gained confidence in myself, better posture and can’t wait to start trotting. I have been participating in HorsePower since last year and I hope that you will support this program so others can enjoy and grow just like me.
