Hello 🙂
My Name is Mackenzie Yunshi Jarvis and I was adopted from China in 2018 and am 11 years old. I am very fortunate to be able to be a part of the wonderful organization we love and call Horsepower. I was born with a very rare gene mutation SCN8A and CP . So I am not quite as strong as others, but I am so much stronger since coming to Horsepower. I am able to sit up on my own!! I can even tell my horse Trader to walk on!! And he is such a good boy!! Each time I come, I am met with love, and acceptance for who I am. I am not defined by my diagnosis, but am Mackenzie and everyone here treats me as just an ordinary kid for in truth, I AM!! Inclusion is important not just for me, but everyone and here at Horsepower, they fulfill that for everyone who comes.
