Lydia has been riding with Horsepower for two and a half years with Lena, Glory, Marigold, and now Grace. She likes to get to know the different personalities of each horse.

Riding at Horsepower has given her the motivation to make it through the week.

She loves that even though she can’t tell exactly what the class is going to do that week she’s still ready for it. The experience has also helped her make some new friends—horses and people alike. The lessons taught in each class push her to try her best and a bit more than that. Even when a lesson’s tough on her, she gets through it. Outside of HorsePower, she is a seventh grader at Southwest Guilford Middle School who loves reading and is a complete book person.
