Small but mighty: that’s Chloe! Born in 2010, this adorable Quarter Horse might be one of the most cute and petite horses in the barn, but don’t let her size fool you. Chloe is confident, calm, and always ready for whatever challenge comes her way. You’ll spot her instantly thanks to her striking white face and if you look out in the pasture, she’s likely chasing off bunnies or turkeys alongside her best friend, Sage. The two are inseparable, both in play and in purpose. Before joining the HORSEPOWER herd, Chloe lived the roping life with a husband-and-wife team, giving her a solid foundation in partnership and responsiveness. It’s no surprise she’s quickly become one of the most dependable and steady therapeutic horses on the property. As a Quarter Horse, Chloe carries the breed’s signature traits: versatility, intelligence, and an incredible work ethic. These horses were built for cattle work and quick thinking, but in Chloe’s case, she’s using those gifts to change lives one ride at a time. Sweet, reliable, and always watching out for her rider and maybe a stray bunny or two, Chloe brings strength, heart, and charm in one petite package.

Lena is a smart, no-nonsense mare with a heart of gold... once she lets you in. Born in 2006, this beautiful Quarter Horse comes from legendary stock: she’s a descendant of the famous Doc O’Lena, a champion cutting horse known for his intelligence, agility, and cow sense. True to her lineage, Lena is sharp, handy, and loves having a job to do. She thrives when there’s purpose in her day and people to care for. While she may come across as a little tough at first, those who take the time to build a relationship with her quickly discover her softer, affectionate side, she’s really just a big teddy bear under that confident exterior. Quarter Horses like Lena are celebrated for their versatility, steady temperament, and loyalty, all of which she brings to every therapeutic class. She’s the kind of partner who keeps you honest. Some might say “you always know where you stand with Lena,” because she doesn’t put on a show. Her honest, grounded presence is part of what makes her so special to work with. When she’s not helping riders grow in confidence and independence, you’ll often find her enjoying her favorite thing: a nice long massage or a nap. Paired with her look-alike bestie Ramona, Lena is part of a powerful duo that brings both heart and skill to the HORSEPOWER herd.

Our lovable bay Appendix gelding born in 2001! Known for his endless patience, kind soul, and "just ask and I’ll try" attitude, Willie is truly one of the most willing partners in our barn. Before joining HORSEPOWER, Willie lived quite the adventurous life; starting out as a racehorse, then becoming a barrel racer, and finally as a therapeutic horse. His calm, attentive nature helps him tune in to his riders’ needs, offering support with every step. As an Appendix (a cross between a Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse), Willie combines athleticism with a gentle temperament, a mix that makes him both smart and sweet. Willie’s got some unique features, too! He has a lip tattoo from his racing days, which can be used to track his past earnings, and a brand with a “W” to mark his identity. Due to a gum disease, he had to have all his front teeth removed, but that doesn’t stop him from flashing his iconic tongue to greet his favorite people! He's currently campaigning for another title: slowest horse in the herd and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Born in 2008, this western sweetheart loves to greet anyone with treats. Glory was purchased for her owner as a sweet 16 present, but lives here at HORSEPOWER to help as many riders as she possibly can. Whenever she is out of her stall, she proudly wears her Clemson colors; purple and orange!

Meet Omar, our gentle giant and Belgian Warmblood gelding standing an impressive 16.2 hands tall. Born in 2014, Omar brings a mix of brains, beauty, and heart to the HORSEPOWER herd and if he could fit on a couch, we’re pretty sure he’d try to curl up right next to you. Known for his endless curiosity and lovable nature, Omar is often found in the company of his best buddies, Canel and Samson; a trio of size, strength, and sweet personalities. Belgian Warmbloods are a relatively modern breed developed in Belgium for excellence in sport disciplines like show jumping and dressage. Known for their elegance, athleticism, and strong, cooperative temperaments, they make exceptional partners in both competition and connection. Omar originally came from a dressage background, where his natural grace and intelligence shone through. He retired from the sport due to a neurological condition called Shivers, which can affect movement in his hind limbs. While it altered his career path, it hasn’t slowed his heart. Under saddle, Omar is incredibly steady, reliable, and responsive, making him a wonderful fit for therapeutic riding. Omar might have come from the world of precision and performance, but these days, his greatest accomplishment is helping people connect, heal, and grow.

Born in 2009, Moon has big kind eyes and willing to do anything asked of him. He has one of the prettiest tails on the property. Moon isn't afraid to stick his nose out for a few kisses or rest his head on his leaders’ shoulder. He has a beautiful coat that looks different colors in different lights. Moon loves to talk to anyone that will listen and his neigh will carry throughout the property!

Born in 2003, Ada is a golden girl in more ways than one. This beautiful Tennessee Walker turns heads with her flowing blonde mane and striking golden eyes, but it’s her kind heart and purposeful stride that truly make her shine. Tennessee Walking Horses were originally bred in the southern United States for their stamina, smooth gait, and calm temperament, ideal traits for long hours on plantations and farms. Over time, they became beloved riding horses thanks to their gentle nature and famously smooth “running walk,” which provides unmatched comfort for riders of all experience levels. Ada carries that legacy beautifully. Her natural, unique movement makes her a favorite among our riders looking for sensory fulfillment, and she’s especially skilled at helping students build core strength and stability. Her gait offers the perfect foundation for riders who need to develop muscle tone, core strength, and balance. When she’s not showing off her elegant prance or soaking up the sunshine, Ada often takes newer horses under her wing. She has a calming presence that helps others settle in, offering reassurance in her own way. Graceful, grounded, and glowing from the inside out, Ada is a true gem in our herd and a trusted companion to many.

Aztec isn’t just a horse, he’s a whole personality! Born in 2009, this striking Dutch Harness Horse turns heads with his bold presence, expressive eyes, and, yes, those massive feet you can’t help but notice. With a silly streak and a constant curiosity, Aztec is always tuned in to what’s happening around him. Whether he’s stationed at the front of his stall, peeking through the door, or watching the action from his patio, he never misses a moment. He thrives on connection and loves to be in the know, specially when there’s a student in the arena to observe or a visitor to charm. Dutch Harness Horses were originally bred in the Netherlands as stylish carriage horses, known for their flashy movement, high-stepping gaits, and confident demeanor. Aztec brings all that flair to the barn, but with a gentle soul that makes him a standout in our therapeutic program. Equal parts handsome, hilarious, and heartfelt, Aztec has a big personality and an even bigger heart for everyone he meets.

Marigold’s name couldn’t be more perfect, this little mare truly is golden. Born in 2014, she’s stolen countless hearts with her flashy coat, sweet expression, and confident presence in the barn. A Morgan through and through, Marigold reflects the breed’s charm, intelligence, and natural grace. Though petite in height, she has a big personality and a strong sense of what’s going on around her, especially when it involves food! One of her favorite pastimes is keeping a close eye on the barn staff as they mix grain, making sure they get her portion just right. Marigold thrives on routine and connection. She shines in therapeutic classes thanks to her smooth gait, witty demeanor, and genuine interest in her riders. Whether she’s posing for a photo or partnering in a lesson, she brings focus and energy to her work. While Marigold can have a touch of sass, it’s always endearing and part of what makes her so lovable. A true gem in our herd, Marigold is a wonderful reminder that sometimes the biggest gifts come in the smallest and most golden packages.

Born in 2002, Sparky is a seasoned Quarter Horse with a heart as steady as his stride. Before joining our therapeutic herd, Sparky had a successful run as a reserved reining champion and later became a beloved lesson horse, patiently introducing countless beginners to the joy of riding. Known for his incredibly smooth and slow walk often described as the most comfortable in the barn, Sparky offers a ride that helps his students build confidence, balance, and trust. Whether he’s walking around the farm or working in the arena, he brings a calm, reliable energy that makes him a favorite among staff, riders, and volunteers alike. Quarter Horses are celebrated for their versatility, athleticism, and gentle disposition, and Sparky embodies all of that and more. He’s always happy to pause for a good ear scratch and is famously known for his one-of-a-kind whinny, which lands somewhere between a donkey’s bray and a rooster’s crow (and never fails to make us smile!). Steady, sweet, and full of quiet charm, Sparky is a true barn treasure.

​Born in 2008, Grace is the perfect blend of gentle strength and heartfelt willingness. A Clydesdale–Thoroughbred cross, she truly embodies the best of both breeds. From the Clydesdale side, she brings calm, steady energy and a sweet disposition, earning her spot among the beloved “Gentle Giants.” Her Thoroughbred heritage adds a strong work ethic and sharp mind, making her a reliable and intuitive partner. Grace didn’t have the easiest start in life, but you’d never know it by the way she carries herself today. With a soft heart and a willing spirit, she’s embraced her second chance and shines in her role at HORSEPOWER. Her life now is filled with purpose, companionship, and the love she always deserved. She takes on every task with a can-do attitude and a heart full of kindness. Patient and dedicated, Grace is a steady presence for her riders and a favorite among staff and volunteers. And while she’s the picture of professionalism in the arena, on the weekends, she loves to kick up her hooves and enjoy some well-earned pasture time with her friends. A true sweetheart through and through, Grace is living her best life and sharing her generous heart every step of the way. of the horse world due to their size and laid-back demeanor. Milo, our Barn Manager and Mouse Catcher, adds a little extra charm to HORSEPOWER. This friendly feline is known to jump onto volunteers’ shoulders and “supervise” the barn with his loving attention.
