National Day of the Horse!
This December, we’re celebrating the heart of our mission…. our herd.
Through the 12 Days of December, we’re inviting our community to help us grow by raising funds to welcome a new horse into our therapeutic riding and equine-assisted services program. Each of our horses plays a life-changing role for the children, adults, veterans, and families we serve. Adding a new partner to our herd means expanding opportunities, reducing the workload on our current horses, and continuing to provide safe, consistent, and meaningful experiences for every participant who walks through our barn doors.
This December our goal is simple: bring home a new equine teammate who will help carry our mission forward.
Every gift, big or small, moves us closer to purchasing a horse that is sound, well-trained, and suited for therapeutic work. Your support helps us ensure that our riders have the right equine partners to build confidence, strengthen skills, and create lasting memories.
What happens if we exceed the cost of purchasing a horse?
Each of our horses are supported by a dedicated sponsor, but sometimes there are horses in our herd without a current sponsor, or there are opportunities to provide extra care or enrichment to support their well-being and therapeutic work. Any funds raised beyond the cost of bringing home a new horse will go into a special fund launching in 2026 (insert name here). This fund will help offset unforseen care needs, provide additional treatments, special enrichment, or therapeutic support, and ensure that every horse in our herd, especially those without a current sponsor, can continue to thrive and give their best in our programs. By giving to this fund, you’re helping us sustain a herd where every horse is healthy, happy, and ready to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.
