Lydia has been riding at Horsepower for three years with Lena, Glory, Marigold, Grace, and now Sage. She likes to get to know the different personalities of each horse.

Riding at Horsepower motivates her to get through the week.

She loves that even though she can’t tell exactly what the class is going to do that week, she always looks forward to it. The experience has also helped her make some new friends—horses and people alike. The lessons taught in each class push her to try her best and a bit more than that. Even when a lesson’s tough on her, she gets through it. Outside of HorsePower, she is an eighth grader at Southwest Guilford Middle School who plays viola and loves reading, including participating in Battle of the Books.
