Meet Samuel! Samuel is 9 years old and has autism. He has been participating in therapeutic horseback riding at Horsepower for several years, and it has truly been a life-changing experience for him and our family.

Samuel absolutely loves coming to Horsepower! What may look like simply riding a horse to some people has become so much more for Samuel. Through his time at Horsepower, he has grown in ways we never could have imagined. He is learning to follow directions, focus on a task, transition more smoothly from one activity to another, and better regulate his emotions.

Most importantly, riding gives Samuel a sense of calm, confidence, and joy. When he is on a horse, you can see how happy and peaceful he is.

Horsepower has made such a positive difference in Samuel’s life and in our entire family. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful people who make this program possible.
